Three has partnered with Central Saint Martins to create a fully-immerse 5G fashion experience that awakens all the senses for the audience through accompanying technological effects. It includes spatial audio, haptic feedback, a 46-metre projection the length of the runway, and an array of aromas to create a mesmerising experience that reflects the designers’ inspirations.

The finale will culminate in an empty catwalk as Aboah’s 5G fuelled digital model walks out in the last outfit of the show. Those with a 5G handset will be able to witness this world-first through the device, alongside all the visual, sensory and sound effects.

Dine has partnered with wuntu, the rewards app from mobile network Three for their one million customers to claim tasty discounts at more than 5,000 fantastic UK restaurants.

In addition to major names such as Bella Italia and Café Rouge, Dine has put a heavy focus on signing up the UK’s best independent eating establishments. More than 90% of Dine’s restaurants are independent and all boast at least a 4* rating on TripAdvisor, ensuring that ardent foodies can get brilliant savings at their favourite local eateries with big name brands.  The wuntu app also includes Dine Specials which contain extra special deals from worthy brands such as Carluccio’s and Michelin-starred restaurants.

Three UK and Gravity Road launched its first ever interactive 8-Bit video game for Instagram Stories, yesterday.

Epitomising Three’s latest brand campaign #PhonesAreGood, the new 8-Bit game celebrates phone culture and features a character whose aim is to make it through three levels of obstacles without looking up from her phone.

The game comprises a series of stitched-together stories across three levels of increasing difficulty – a gym, a train and outer space. Each story contains an obstacle, which can be avoided with timely tapping. Failure to tap at the right time results in collision. Once players successfully complete all three levels they get the chance to win a Razer Phone 2, a handset specifically designed for gaming and widely considered one of the best phones on the market for mobile gamers.

Drawing on the insight that gaming has moved beyond being an in-home experience and into the mobile world, the Instagram Stories game throws back to the 8-Bit style of games the audience grew up with and feels nostalgic about. A celebration of mobile gaming on today’s ubiquitous platform – Instagram, players can get a quick and fun fix even when swiping through Stories.

Three UK has revealed it could save its customers £187 million* worth of mobile roaming charges if the law changes after Brexit. The announcement is part of the mobile network’s commitment to continue offering roaming benefits following new draft legislation announced this year. The claim “Deal or no deal, our customers will save £187 million in roaming charges. Vote Three” was seen displayed across a bus roaming the streets of London, ahead of the UK due to leave the European Union on 29th March.

In uncertain times, Three pledges to give certainty to its customers. This commitment comes due to the effect Brexit will have on British travellers to Europe, while roaming charges currently governed by EU rules and regulations, continues to be unclear. Prior to the EU Roaming Legislation announced in June 2017, mobile operators could apply excessive roaming charges for those using their phones whilst travelling within the EU. Three was the first network to allow its customers to roam at no extra change, back in 2013. Three’s Go Roam offering now allows its customers to use their phone in over 70 worldwide destinations at no extra cost. 

Dave Dyson, CEO at Three, said: “Three is the global leader in international roaming and now offers roaming at no extra cost for its customers in over 70 destinations including Brazil, Singapore, the US and Australia. We’re committed to eradicating excessive roaming charges and will retain this great customer benefit regardless of Brexit negotiations allowing our customers to continue using their usual allowances when they travel within the EU.”

Millions could be charged more to use their mobile phone so Three’s commitment to keep roaming free is a reassuring stance for consumers.”

Mobile phone network Three will be running a pop-up ‘All You Can Pug’ brunch to celebrate Puggerfly, the star of its latest ad campaign and, the network claims, the world’s first Augmented Reality (AR) pet.

Three has teamed up with the Pug Café, UK’s leading pop-up event provider for pugs, to create an immersive experience for dog owners and admirers alike. A limited number of tickets are available, priced at £5, which entitles the holder to one 75-minute brunch slot including one main breakfast dish, bottomless pastries, prosecco and coffee or tea, as well as food for their dog, if they bring one.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Pug Dog Welfare & Rescue Association.

The pop-up ‘All You Can Pug’ brunch, which will take place on Saturday May 12th, follows the recent announcement that Three has added Snapchat to its range of services offered as part of Go Binge, allowing customers to snap, chat and share without using their data allowance. Three also unveiled the new star of its ad campaign, Puggerfly, a squishy-faced, purple-winged pug, created, according to the network, to embody all things social and fun.

Puggerfly allows users to access different consecutive Snapchat lenses across seven days, letting them nurture and love their Puggerfly as he grows from a ball-chasing, rainbow-pooping puppyfly right through to a fully-fledged flying Puggerfly. Snap’s 12 million UK daily active users can interact with the animated dog, no matter what network they are on. Users can feed Puggerfly treats, play ball with it, enjoy sloppy dog kisses and even watch it twerk to dance music. The seven lenses launched on April 26th, one per day; after the seven days are up, they will be available to Snapchat users via Snapcodes that will be incorporated into Three’s UK wide advertising and media campaign.

The Pug Brunch was created and managed by Three’s PR agency, W Communications.

Three’s ‘All You Can Pug Brunch’ will take place simultaneously in London and Liverpool, with dog owners and admirers invited to head to Covent Garden Grind in London and Love Thy Neighbour in Liverpool for bottomless brunch dishes and the chance to pet pugs. Guests also have the opportunity to capture photos of themselves with Puggerfly’s giant rainbow poo statue (recently seen roaming London’s capital’s streets), dress up their pampered pooches as Puggerfly, or sample all seven Puggerfly Snap codes.

Mobile network provider Three has collaborated with Wieden+Kennedy London, Mindshare and Kinetic, the specialists in contextually connecting and activating audiences on the move, to deliver a virtual reality (VR) experience as part of its Go Roam campaign.

The VR experience is part of Three’s recent campaign launching even more destinations to its Feel At Home service, where you can use your phone abroad at no extra cost in 60 destinations worldwide.

Kinetic Active and Mindshare has created an experiential VR activation which sees shoppers taken on a five-stop world tour of Three’s Feel At Home destinations. From hang-gliding around Christ the Redeemer in Rio and chilling on a Miami beach, to sightseeing in Australia and watching a lantern festival in Hong Kong.

The activation ran on June 17-18 in London’s Westfield shopping centre and will be running again on June 23-24 in Birmingham’s Bullring shopping centre.

The VR experience utilises assets from Three’s recent TV advertising campaign for Go Roam which features a unique animal character that combines a giraffe with a flamingo. The CGI spot, contrasting the ‘nervy’ feelings of a wobbly baby giraffe with the strut of the ‘Giraffe-amingo’, demonstrates the power of Three’s roaming offering that gives customers the freedom to use their phones as they would here in the UK, in more destinations than any other UK mobile network.

The VR experience was developed by Kinetic Active, Mindshare UK, Somewhere Else VR and Ambient. The creative for the ‘Giraffe-amingo’ TV spot was developed by W+K London.
